With six venues and 148 youth soccer teams in play, the three-day Durango Shootout kicked off Friday, and fomer Fort Lewis College men’s soccer player Derek Freeman and current FLC women’s soccer player Nicole Schumacher braved the chilly weather atop the FLC campus to support the Durango Youth Soccer Association U10 Rovers. The tournament will continue today and Sunday at Durango High School, Escalante Middle School, FLC, La Plata County Fairgrounds, Riverview Sports Complex and Santa Rita Park.
