I was a little taken aback when I read the Forest Service approved removing 26 acres of trees for more ski runs at Purgatory Resort.
If you believe in science (that’s a big, “if”), you would have some awareness that things are getting warmer, snow is less frequent and moisture is lacking. Science also tells us that those pesky trees are all part of the rain/moisture cycle. Seems counterproductive to the ski industry to cut trees. Shouldn’t we be planting trees?
But hey, who cares when the good for a few supercedes the good for the rest of us?
