For the mountain-bike nut who dreams of sharing a course with at least two of the world’s top riders, here’s your chance.
Registration for the inaugural Todd and Ned’s Durango Dirt Fondo opens Monday. This group ride of 50 or 30 miles, hosted by renowned Durango mountain bike professionals Ned Overend and Todd Wells, is set for Sept. 12. It will commemorate the 25th anniversary of the World Mountain Bike Championships, held here in Durango.
The event will start and finish at the Powerhouse Science Center. The 50-mile course has a 350-rider cap and is $150. The 30-mile course has a 150-rider cap and is $125.
