I watched with disgust as supporters of the president wore T-shirts that read, “I’d rather be Russian than a Democrat,” thus endorsing Putin’s election interference. We as a country have made a bargain with the devil and we should be uncomfortable and extremely cautious. As the election approaches, we need to carefully measure our personal principles and democratic values. Remember, if our elected officials are silent they are also complicit.
