The San Juan College Symphonic Band will perform at 7 p.m. Feb. 14 in the Henderson Fine Arts Center Performance Hall, as part of the San Juan College Silhouette Series.
Conductor Dr. Teun Fetz will lead the band in a Valentine’s Day performance. The concert will feature a world premiere performance of a new piece by Farmington composer and trumpeter Sean McNally called “Lost City of the Monkey God.” Other selections will include: “A Glorious Summer Day,” by Satoshi Yagisawa; “Gershwin By George! A George Gershwin Medley,” arranged by Jerry Brubaker; “I Dreamed A Dream,” from the musical “Les Miserables,” featuring a band soloist; “In This Quiet Place,” by Robert Sheldon, and “March from Peer Gynt Suite No. 2,” by Edward Grieg; “Phantom of the Opera Medley,” by Andrew Lloyd Webber arranged by Paul Murtha and “Prelude and Firestorm,” by Roland Barrett.
