San Juan Basin Public Health announced additional vaccine clinics in La Plata and Archuleta counties.

Currently, Colorado has one of the highest COVID-19 incident rates in the country, behind only Michigan. As more transmissible variants continue to spread, unvaccinated people are at increased risk. SJBPH urges all eligible people to get vaccinated as soon as possible.

All three FDA-authorized vaccines are effective in preventing COVID-19 and related serious outcomes.

Sixteen- and 17-year-olds are authorized only to receive the Pfizer vaccine and should confirm the type of vaccine offered before making an appointment.

Anyone who is overdue for a second shot should register for a clinic that matches their original vaccine type.
