San Juan Basin Public Health will host a presentation about “Deconstructing Equity: Exploring the world of diversity, equity, and inclusion” from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Fort Lewis College Student Union Ballroom.
Dr. Nita Mosby Tyler will give the presentation. Tyler is the founder and principal trainer at The Equity Project,LLC. She will discuss definitions of diversity, inclusivity, equity, equality and fairness for a better understanding of bias; personal power as a result of equity exploration; the impact of language on systems of equity; how to manage, navigate, and evaluate in a diversity, equity and inclusion framework.
The event is free and open to the public. Light snacks will be provided.
