San Juan Mountains Association and San Juan National Forest will offer a free overnight backpacking trip for families Aug. 5-6 in the mountains north of Silverton.
Certified interpretive guide MK Gunn will lead the trip. Those ages 7 and up are welcome to attend. Children must be accompanied by a parent of guardian.
