Ska Brewing Co., in partnership with Durango Independent Film Festival, released a farmhouse ale Wednesday called “12 Hangry Men,” a nod to one of the all-time great films, “12 Angry Men.”
The French-style farmhouse ale is brewed with white grapes and a French saison yeast strain. It weighs in at 4.9 alcohol by volume.
“This complex, earthy ale has flavors of lemon and white pepper with a semi-dry finish,” the brewery wrote in a news release. “It pairs wonderfully with myriad foods; Thai curries, earthy cheeses, salads, poultry, fish and shellfish.”
A release party was held at 5 p.m. Wednesday at Ska Brewing World Headquarters in Bodo Industrial Park. The limited release will then be sold individually in 22-ounce bombers in liquor stores across the region.
The film festival, which features 115 films, runs March 1 to 5 in Durango.
