Skyhawks 18th at WNMU Fall Intercollegiate

FLC men’s golf paced by Washburn

The Fort Lewis College men’s golf team is 18th out of 20 teams through two of three rounds at the Western New Mexico Fall Intercollegiate on Monday in Silver City, N.M.

The Skyhawks combined for a 605 as a team, with Oklahoma Christian leading after firing a two-round 567.

Dillon Washburn is tied for 23rd after firing a 72-74-146 on Monday. Lucas Laudick shot a 76-72-142 to tie for 40th, and Bryan Schlichter carded a 79-74-153 and is tied for 70th for the Skyhawks.

Josh Woodworth fired matching 79s on Monday for a 158 for Fort Lewis, while Thomas Veghte went 87-81-168 for the Skyhawks.

Colin Prater of Colorado Mesa shot a 68-67-135 to lead the field by three strokes.

The final round will take place Tuesday.
