Colorado Christian rolls past FLC volleyball in straight sets

The Fort Lewis College volleyball team lost its four-match winning streak in a 3-0 defeat against Colorado Christian on Friday in Lakewood.

The Cougars (12-8, 6-4 Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference) won 25-13, 25-19, 25-10, jumping on FLC (5-12, 6-3 RMAC) early.

Ashley Wells led the Skyhawks with seven kills, and Hannah Starbuck added six. Heather Danny had 19 assists, while Jenna Kinzer had 14 digs to pace FLC.

The Cougars, meanwhile, compiled 50 kills to FLC’s 20, led by Taylor Sturms with 14 and Ali Weber and Summer Greager with 12 apiece. Jordan Kissman had 45 assists for Colorado Christian, while Greager also had 23 digs.

The Cougars had seven service aces to just one for FLC.

The Skyhawks will play Colorado Mines at 5 p.m. Saturday in Golden.
