The Skyhawks used a steady offense to build its lead – one in the first, one in the second, one in the third and three in the fifth.

Missy Fundora scored the Skyhawks’ first run, Hayley Bolyard homered in the second inning, and Myndee Thompson drove in a run with a sacrifice fly in the third inning for a 3-1 lead.

Bolyard, pinch-hitter Nikki Klepfler and Thompson all drove in runs in the decisive fifth inning.

Destinee DeHerrera went 2-for-4 with a run scored. Bolyard went 2-for-3 with a run scored, two runs batted in and her first home run of the season. Thompson went 2-for-2 with a run scored and three RBIs.

FLC gave the ball to three different pitchers in the victory: Victoria Johnson allowed one run on six hits in 2 1/3 innings pitched; Kiley Raica allowed three runs on two hits in 2 1/3 innings; Olivia Goldberg allowed no runs on two hits in 2 1/3 innings and was issued the win.
