Skyhawks’ turn ‘to come out strong again’

Luke Lawrence and Fort Lewis College scored a 1-0 victory against UC-Colorado Springs last Friday at Dirks Field, but they couldn’t get in front of Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Goalkeeper of the Week Christian Nicolosi and No. 8 Regis on Sunday at home in an RMAC men’s soccer split. FLC (5-3, 3-1 RMAC) will host Adams State (1-6, 0-4 RMAC) at 3 p.m. Friday. “I’m very excited,” Lawrence said Sunday after the loss to the Rangers. “I mean, my head is not going to go down. The team’s head is not going to go down. We’re going to come out strong again, and we’ll meet (Regis) again.”
