The
Shepherd serves as the executive director of the Southwest Colorado SBDC, hosted at Fort Lewis College. Her contributions to the Southwest region include creating 66 new jobs and helping to increase regional sales to $5.1 million.
Kelly Manning, state director for the Colorado SBDC, said Shepherd is being recognized for her extraordinary contributions to the Colorado SBDC Network and small businesses in Southwest Colorado.
“Mary is a strong advocate for small business in a five-county region of Southwest Colorado, infusing $2.3 million of new capital into the area,” Manning said. “Small businesses continue to flourish under her leadership.”
