Here we go again! Candace Richerson (Letters, Herald, July 10) totally misrepresented facts about a recent debate, and now she once again is taking this election away from what it should be based on. Sean Smith’s campaign has done everything to shift the issue away from his lack of law enforcement experience.
His campaign is taking on a very familiar tone. Let’s go back to 2007 when an Illinois senator, with little to no experience, ran a similar type of election. Smith’s campaign motto “Expect More” has now become synonymous with “Hope and Change.” I will just ask how has that worked out for this country and La Plata County?
