Carl and Linda Smith of Durango are celebrating their 65th wedding anniversary on May 30. The couple were married on May 30, 1958, in National City, California.
They have lived in Durango since 1969. Before retiring, they both worked for Durango School District 9-R, Mr. Smith as a food delivery driver and bus driver, and Mrs. Smith in the Needham and Escalante School lunchroom.
They have three children: Laurie Musard of St. George, Utah; Lisa Wingert of Grand Junction; and Jason Smith of Lillington, North Carolina. They have three grandchildren and one great granddaughter.
