Although it feels like spring has arrived, forecasters are still predicting the chance for snow later this week.
Dennis Phillips, meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Grand Junction, said temperatures should remain in the 70s with blue skies until Tuesday.
On Wednesday, Phillips said temperatures should start to cool. And Wednesday night into Thursday, models are showing snow in the high country and rain in the lower elevations.
“Our best chance for that more widespread storm will be Wednesday into Thursday,” he said. “And that’ll last until about Friday morning.”
Phillips said it’s too soon to predict snow totals, but snow accumulation could dip to about 9,000 feet.
