About an inch of snow covered the ground – and about everything else, including bicycles – in the north valley Thursday morning after an early snowfall that quickly melted. More snow and rain are in the forecast for Southwest Colorado through the weekend. The National Weather Service expects a 30 percent chance of snow starting tonight, and a chance of a snow-rain mix remains in the forecast through Sunday night in Durango.
