The Snowdown Follies will hold cast auditions at 6 p.m. Dec. 4 in the Banquet Room at the Doubletree Hotel, 501 Camino del Rio. Plan to arrive at 5:30 p.m. to get paperwork filled out and to pick audition number. Chorus line auditions will be held from 12:30 to 4 p.m. Dec. 7 at The Dance Studio in the Smiley Building, 1309 East Third Ave.
In 2025, the theme for Snowdown is “The Board Game Edition: It’s Your Move,” although the Snowdown Follies acts don’t have to be theme-related. Many acts roast Durango personalities or make fun of news events throughout the year. The Follies are fun and hilarious, and locals always love the many “inside” jokes.
All are welcome to try out. Follies hopefuls must attend this audition to be in the cast. The acts that are chosen tend to be those that are best prepared, so give us your best shot. Music must be submitted in advance. Email music in MP3, m4a, AIFF or WAV file with the subject line as “Follies and Leader’s Name” to doug@eaglesoundstudio.com.
