The Fort Lewis College volleyball team is accepting new and used shoes for a fundraiser. Donations to the
Donate shoes at 7 p.m. Oct. 19 and receive free admission to the team’s home game against Western State Colorado University at FLC’s Whalen Gymnasium.
The team aims to collect 3,000 pairs of shoes to distribute worldwide to people who have been affected by catastrophic events.
Donation locations include the Fort Lewis Aquatic Center and Student Union Bookstore, 1000 Rim Drive; Durango Community Recreation Center, 2700 Main Ave.; Durango High School, 2390 Main Ave.; and Ignacio High School, 315 Ignacio St.
Public visitors should check in at the front desk at the high schools to donate shoes.
