Regarding Edward Packard’s letter (
I am neither a gun owner nor an NRA member. SCOTUS has ruled to protect the Second Amendment from states and to guaranteeing an individual’s right to keep and bear arms for hunting and self-defense. The NRA, the left’s “whipping boy,” supports the SCOTUS decision. It offers law enforcement training and police instructor certification, safe firearm training, safe handling and storage of firearms, and I imagine many more positive programs.
The left is selective and hypocritical as always; as tragic as these mass shootings are (and they are horrific), the left are proponents of the 300,000+ babies killed by Planned Parenthood each year. Science fact: At the moment of conception, the baby has his/her own unique human DNA. The buzz phrase, “women’s reproductive rights” – well they are called personal responsibility and self-reliance, that is birth control!
Possible exceptions being rape, incest and imminent death of the mother. Adoption?
Planned Parenthood receives $500 million each year from the federal government, refers out almost all health maintenance procedures, but does donate tens of millions per election cycle to Democratic campaigns.
The NRA gets nothing from the federal government, and since 1998 has donated $3.5 million to various political campaigns.
