Ignacio sophomore Austin McCaw extends to meet a Paonia pitch during last Friday's 2A-Western Slope District quarterfinals at Montezuma-Cortez High School. The Bobcats' season ended with a 7-3 loss, as only junior Adison Jones (2-3, R, RBI), sophomore Anthony Manzanares (0-2, 2 BB, R) and senior Bo Ward (0-2, BB, R) managed to cross home plate against Paonia. Tagged for 10 hits and all seven Eagle runs in his four innings on the mound, Ward took the loss for IHS, which wrapped up 2014 with a 9-11 overall record.
