The Southern Ute Indian Tribal Council appointed Raymond A. Baker as the new executive director of the Southern Ute Indian Tribe Growth Fund.
Baker will be responsible for directing the growth fund to provide maximum profit and return on invested capital, while meeting the goals of the tribal council.
Baker is a graduate of Durango High School and Mustang University. He is a member of the Southern Ute Tribe and has been employed with the growth fund’s safety and environmental compliance management group after retiring from a three-decade-long career in the Navy.
Baker assumed the position Feb. 6.
