Southern Ute Indian Tribe to host tribal vaccination event

The Southern Ute Indian Tribe will host a tribal vaccination event for the first dose of the COVID-19 Moderna vaccine from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Thursday at Sky Ute Casino Resort Event Center.

Only first doses will be administered at this vaccination clinic to people age 18 and older. Indian Health Services has provided a limited number of Moderna vaccine for these eligible individuals:

Enrolled Southern Ute tribal members and members of their immediate household.IHS-eligible beneficiaries who reside in Southern Ute Health Center service area and members of their immediate household.Tribal employees and insured dependents.Any community members 18 years of age and older who reside within these counties: La Plata, Montezuma, Archuleta, San Juan (N.M.), San Juan (Colo.), Rio Arriba and Hindsdale.People interested in the first-dose vaccination event are required to register at the Southern Ute Health Center sign-up at www.tinyurl.com/y2bmk652.
