A National Geographic “Living with Wolves” photographic exhibit will open Monday and be on display through Nov. 30 at the Southern Ute Museum and Cultural Center, 503 Ouray Drive, in Ignacio.
The exhibit, supported by Rocky Mountain Wolf Project, will offer 19 large photographs and 14 text panels in the museum’s second-floor gallery. Living with Wolves founders Jim and Jamie Dutcher have spent more than 20 years studying and documenting wolf behavior. They created the exhibit to advance the understanding of wolves.
An opening reception, featuring ambassador wolves from the Ignacio-based WolfWood Refuge will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, at the museum.
