Volunteers needed at Sand Canyon
Southwest Colorado Canyons Alliance will host a trail work event at San Canyon parking area to complete fence work on June 1.
Southwest Colorado Canyons Alliance will complete fence work on the Sand Canyon parking area from 9 a.m. to noon June 1 at the new parking area for Sand Canyon Trail on County Road G.
The fence separates the trail from private land on one side and from a cultural site on the other. About 10 people are needed to complete the work from last month.
Volunteers ares asked to bring water, hat, gloves, sunscreen, snacks, long-sleeve shirt and pants, closed-toe shoes or boots.
The Bureau of Land Management will provide all tools needed.
