Southwest Endoscopy Center in Durango has been recognized by U.S. News & World Report as one of the nation’s best ambulatory surgery centers for 2025, ranking among the top 17% of more than 4,300 centers evaluated nationwide.
The center, owned by Animas Surgical Hospital, partners closely with Digestive Health Associates, the physicians of which perform colonoscopy and endoscopy procedures at the facility. The recognition highlights excellence in patient outcomes, safety and overall quality of care.
Southwest Endoscopy Center was one of only 16 ambulatory surgery centers in Colorado to earn this national distinction – and the only one in Southwest Colorado focused on gastrointestinal care.
