Southwestern Colorado Area Health Education Center welcomes Imo Succo

Succo

Southwestern Colorado Area Health Education Center has welcomed Imo Succo to succeed Mary Dengler-Frey as its new Regional Health Connector.

Succo is a member of the Navajo Nation and was born and raised in New Mexico. She worked for the Navajo Nation Department of Law Enforcement before going back to school to complete a bachelor’s degree in anthropology at Fort Lewis College and a master’s degree in social work at the University of Denver.

Succo has worked with various behavioral health programs in the region including Axis Health and SEPT 4 the Children. She brings a passion for addressing health disparities in the region, enhancing healthcare services for underserved populations by connecting area healthcare providers with community organizations that serve Southwestern Colorado. Succo is also committed to contributing to conversations honoring diversity and addressing the racial inequities that impact health of our communities.
