A “Speak Out” event hosted by Oak Tree Youth Resources will be held from 6-7:30 p.m. Nov. 16 at Durango Public Library.

Oak Tree Youth Resources is partnering with the Durango Public Library in honor of November's Homeless Youth Awareness Month and is meant to “shine a light” on the experiences of homeless youth in rural Southwest Colorado. The event will showcase verbal stories and written pieces from youth, young adults and adults who have experienced youth homelessness at one point in their lives.

Oak Tree is still accepting those who want to share their stories.
