Spend no more money on bridge fiasco

“Piecing it together” (Herald, Oct. 20) is like, in mining, hitting “pay dirt” or “the vein” and not filing a claim.

In oil, it would be drilling a “gusher” without leasing the land, or in poker, staying in the game with no chips and getting a royal flush!

Colorado’s Department of Transportation needs to “know when to hold ‘em, and know when to fold ‘em.” Stay with what you know – fixing roads. The $99.6 million would go a long way repairing the roads we have. Stop trying to save face; fold and walk away.

The “Bridge to Nowhere” was and is a fiasco. Leave it! The moneys could be better spent on the citizens of Colorado who gave it to you.
