Spooky full-moon hike set for Saturday

The hunter’s moon rises and lights up the LaPlata Mountains on Oct. 18, 2013. The October full-moon hike has become a Halloween tradition for Durango Nature Studies.

Durango Nature Studies’ Spooky Full Moon Hike – a Halloween tradition – is set for 6-8 p.m. Saturday at Greenmount Cemetery, 900 Cemetery Road.

The natural history of the area and the changes in the use of natural resources will be discussed by instructor Brook Mitchell.
