FLC women’s golf team needs players to fill out its roster

They’ve got a new head coach.

They’ve got a new assistant coach.

They’ve even got a preseason ranking for this year’s Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference competition.

Now, the Fort Lewis College Skyhawks need golfers.

FLC head coach Guy Begay, assistant coach Kermitt Barrett and the first-year women’s golf program are hosting tryouts for potential student-athletes for the 2014-15 season.

Potential team members must have their own clubs, a familiarity with the etiquette and rules of golf and must have some tournament-playing experience.

FLC was picked to finish 11th of 12 teams by the coaches in this year’s RMAC, the Skyhawks’ first season of competition.

For more information, contact Begay at 970-946-7051 or at skyhawk_golf@yahoo.com.
