LAS VEGAS – Joey Logano pulled away from Kyle Larson on a restart with four laps left and held on to win the NASCAR Xfinity race Saturday.
Logano chose the outside lane on the last restart and moved in front of Larson out of the fourth turn at Las Vegas Motor Speedway for his first Xfinity victory since October at Charlotte.
Daniel Suarez put Cup regulars in the top three spots. Justin Allgaier was fourth, followed by Austin Dillon and Darrell Wallace Jr.

LAS VEGAS – Jordan Caroline had 23 points and 10 rebounds as Nevada beat Colorado State 79-71 on Saturday in the Mountain West Conference championship game to earn its first NCAA Tournament berth in 11 years.
The Wolf Pack claimed the league’s automatic bid for their first trip to the NCAAs since winning the 2006 Western Athletic Conference Tournament.
After squandering a 16-point lead and allowing the Rams to tie the game midway through the second half, Nevada used an 11-3 run during a five-minute stretch to build another cushion while Colorado State missed eight consecutive field goal attempts.

COL DE LA COUILLOLE, France – Two-time champion Richie Porte showed his climbing credentials are intact with a superb breakaway win on stage seven of the Paris-Nice, while Sergio Henao took the overall lead heading into Sunday’s final stage.
Porte’s chances of a third Paris-Nice success were ruined when he lost more than 15 minutes this week, but the Australian veteran rider showed what might have been with a brilliant attack on the final ascent up Col de la Couillole, the third and final of three tough climbs on a 110-mile route starting from Nice.
MONTE TERMINILLO, Italy – Nairo Quintana of Colombia repeated his dominant performance on Tirreno-Adriatico’s high mountains to win the fourth stage and move into the overall lead on Saturday.
Movistar rider Quintana waited until the final five kilometers to increase his pace and then pulled clear with two kilometers left to win on the Terminillo for the second straight year, finishing 18 seconds ahead of Geraint Thomas.

PALM HARBOR, Fla. (AP) — Adam Hadwin of Canada made two long birdie putts on the back nine and had a 4-under 67 to extend his lead to four shots in the Valspar Championship as he goes for his first PGA Tour victory.
He was at 14-under 199, with Patrick Cantlay four shots behind.
NHL
DENVER – Craig Anderson made 14 saves to set the franchise wins mark and the Ottawa Senators defeated the Colorado Avalanche 4-2 on Saturday night for their sixth consecutive victory.
Alex Burrows and Mike Hoffman each had a goal and an assist for Ottawa, which tied Montreal atop the Atlantic Division with 84 points.
Anderson earned win No. 147 with Ottawa and passed Patrick Lalime for the top spot.
Calvin Pickard stopped 27 shots and Matt Nieto and Sven Andrighetto scored for the Avalanche, who were eliminated from the playoffs with the loss.
