Colorado’s Roberson set to test the NBA’s draft waters
BOULDER – Colorado junior forward Andre Roberson will enter the NBA draft.
The school announced the decision Sunday on its website, saying he notified coach Tad Boyle earlier in the day. Roberson originally scheduled a news conference for Friday, but it was canceled to give him more time to consider his decision.
Roberson led the Pac-12 with an 11.2-rebounding average. He also scored nearly 11 points a game, helping the Buffs reach their second consecutive NCAA Tournament for the first time in a half-century.
The 6-7 Roberson is projected to be a second-round pick. He may lack the size of strong NBA rebounders, but he makes up for it with his leaping ability.
Said Boyle: “We support Andre and want what’s best for him and his family. We wish him the best.”

For Horschel, 64 is the magic number for first win
AVONDALE, La. – Billy Horschel shot an 8-under 64 in the final round of the Zurich Classic, maintaining his composure through a pair of weather delays for his first-career PGA Tour victory on Sunday.
The 26-year-old former Florida Gator began the day two shots behind third-round leader Lucas Glover and surged into the lead with six consecutive birdies after the first weather delay. He finished at 20 under, narrowly holding off Shell Houston Open winner D.A. Points, who shot a final-round 65 to finish one shot behind.
The second delay happened before Horschel could take his second shot on the 18th hole, giving him 50 minutes to reflect on what was at stake – $1.19 million and a two-year exemption.
Kyle Stanley shot a 5-under 67 to finish third, while Chinese 14-year-old amateur Guan Tianlang finished 71st after making his second cut in two PGA events, the first coming famously at the Masters.
In Irving, Texas, Inbee Park shot a bogey-free 4-under 67 on Sunday to win the inaugural North Texas LPGA Shootout by a stroke over Carlota Ciganda.

Nadal’s hot streak continues at the Barcelona Open
BARCELONA, Spain – All those months of hard work and rehab are starting to pay off for Rafael Nadal. Yet he still is not sure what this means for the French Open.
Nadal won the Barcelona Open for the eighth time Sunday, defeating Nicolas Almagro 6-4, 6-3 for his fourth title of the year.
And with French Open about a month down the road, this latest victory is a promising sign that Nadal is getting back to full strength from a knee injury that sidelined him since last summer.
He has made six consecutive finals since returning from his knee injury. This title, the 54th of his career, comes one week after his eight-year reign at Monte Carlo ended with a loss to top-ranked Novak Djokovic.
