Jay-Z sells his Nets stake to get in the agent game
NEW YORK The Brooklyn Nets are losing one of their biggest names as they prepare for the playoffs.
Jay-Z, whose real name is Shawn Carter, owned just a little piece of the team but was a large presence when the franchise changed homes and identities this season.
The rap mogul is selling his stake in the Nets so he can become certified as a player agent, possibly before the end of the season. The process is underway, with paperwork already filed, a person with knowledge of the details said Wednesday.
NBA rules prevent anyone from being involved in ownership and player representation.

Anthonys No. 7 is No. 1 on the NBAs best-sellers list
NEW YORK Carmelo Anthony now tops the NBAs scoring race and its most popular jerseys list.Anthony took over the top spot on the leagues sales list Tuesday, moving past MVP LeBron James and becoming the first Knicks player at the top since the first list was released in 2001-02.
Anthony was No. 4 last year on the list, which is based on sales at the NBA Store in New York and on NBAStore.com since last November. The reigning Eastern Conference player of the week edged past Kevin Durant in the scoring race after averaging 41.8 points per game last week.Durant was third on the jersey sales list, followed by seven-time No. 1 Kobe Bryant and Derrick Rose.The Knicks remained first in team sales, followed by Miami and the Lakers.

Zeller is the second Hoosier to declare for NBA draft
BLOOMINGTON, Ind. Indiana sophomore center Cody Zeller is heading to the NBA, the second Hoosiers star to leave school early. On Tuesday, junior swingman Victor Oladipo announced he was entering the NBA draft.Neither decision was a surprise because both are projected to be lottery picks in June.
Zeller, a 7-footer, could have left school last year but decided to return for one more shot at a national championship. He led the Hoosiers in scoring (16.5 points) and rebounding (8.1), was a second-team All-American and is projected to be a top 10 pick in Junes draft.
Zellers older two brothers, Luke and Tyler, also play in the NBA.
SYRACUSE, N.Y. Syracuse sophomore point guard Michael Carter-Williams decided to enter the NBA draft.
Carter-Williams started all 40 games for the Orange this season. He finished fifth nationally in assist average (7.3) and fourth in steals (2.78) among Division I players, and also averaged 11.9 points and a team-best 35.2 minutes.
COLUMBIA, Mo. Missouri point guard Phil Pressey is skipping his senior season to enter the NBA draft.
Pressey, a 5-11 guard from Dallas, averaged 11.9 points, 7.1 assists and 1.8 steals per game in leading the Tigers to a 23-11 record and an appearance in the NCAA Tournament, where they lost their opening game to Colorado State.

Williamses rejoin Americans Fed Cup roster for Sweden
DELRAY BEACH, Fla. Serena and Venus Williams will lead the U.S. Fed Cup team against Sweden on hardcourts at the Delray Beach Tennis Center on April 20-21.The team announced Wednesday also will include 16th-ranked Sloane Stephens and No. 27 Varvara Lepchenko.
The winner will advance to the 2014 world group and have a chance to compete for the Fed Cup title next year. The losing team will be relegated to World Group II in 2014.Swedens team will consist of No. 54 Sofia Arvidsson, No. 65 Johanna Larsson, No. 425 Hilda Melander and No. 489 Sandra Roma.Serena Williams, who is ranked No. 1, is 8-0 in Fed Cup singles play and 3-0 in doubles. Venus is 14-2 in singles and 4-2 in doubles.
