Students interested in obtaining sports physicals are encouraged to show up at the Southwest Medical Group’s School-Based Health Center located at Montezuma-Cortez High School on Aug. 1 or Aug. 2.
Local doctors will provide sports physicals from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The cost of obtaining a physical is $31 and must be paid at the time of the service. Parents are required to sign a sports physical form prior to their child’s examination.
Athletes are reminded that a sports physical must be obtained prior to participation in any school sport. Practices for fall teams in the RE-1 School District begin as early as Aug. 6.
