I have known Steve Brittain for more than 20 years. Steve served as regional chief probation officer and district administrator for the state of Colorado for 20 years. Steve Brittain is program coordinator for La Plata Youth Services. Steve has led and served on many boards through the years. All this experience is valuable only if a person can truly share and work with parents, teachers and other board members. As well as having enough time, a qualified school-board member must be able to listen, make decisions under pressure, debate with respect and have the wisdom to educate themselves if ever misinformed. Superintendent Daniel Snowberger requires a top notch, supportive and capable school board to properly do his job. They absolutely must function together to achieve their goal: the very best education for our children. I am certain Steve Brittain will be an asset to our school board.
