Stop welfare flow to Brown and friends

I totally agree with the recent column by our local conservative intellectual – Rep. J. Paul Brown – on the need to reduce government and increase freedom (Herald, March 25).

I think, for starters, and as a way to help pay for health care for folks, we should stop the welfare payments to those like Brown, who has received more than $185,000 in money from the government! You can confirm that at www.farm.ewg.org. And that does not count that welfare subsidy – also called a grazing fee on public lands – the price of which has increased astronomically to 34 cents per sheep per month!

Brown lives on government welfare!

So, I figure if you stopped all those payments to folks like Brown and his friends (think the mesas south of town) – all of whom hate the government but live off it – we all would have less government and more freedom and more money and could pay for health care for folks. God bless.
