Strater to host 1960s-style dinner

La Plata County Historical Society and the Animas Museum will hold a “Culinary Heritage Dinner” at 6:30 p.m. Aug. 25 at the Strater Hotel, 699 Main Ave.

The theme for this year’s dinner is “Swinging Sixties Restaurant Revival,” and the event will recreate dishes from popular 1960s spots, such as the Terrace at the Strater Hotel, Red Barn restaurant, Silver Spur and Chez Louis. Past culinary heritage dinners include the early 20th century in 2016 and World War I in 2017.

For tickets, call the Animas Museum at 259-2402 or visit www.animasmuseum.org/dinner.html. Purchased tickets will be available at the event’s will-call table.
