The Colorado Department of Transportation will perform striping operations next week south of Durango at the intersection of U.S. Highway 160 and Dominguez Drive, near Walmart. Crews will paint fresh highway markings on the pavement.
The work will take place from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Drivers will encounter lane closures, lane shifts and periodic, brief stops guided by flaggers. Travelers should allow for extra travel time and are urged to slow down, watch for heavy equipment moving about the area, be aware of workers on the highway and drive with extreme caution through the work zone.
