I have been a student at Riverview Elementary School since kindergarten. And the school garden (Ohana Kuleana Community Garden) has been a part of my experience for a long time.
I have learned many things in the garden, like how to respect nature and keep the earth healthy, and it gives us students a chance to work with soil as much as we do pencils. We get to weed and plant seeds. We also do research, we study and observe plants and living things like bugs. We learn about several ways to protect the environment there.
When I leave this school the garden will hold special memories to me that I will cherish forever.
