Three Animas High School seniors will hold an event about the meaning and misconceptions of feminism and sexuality from 4:30 to 7 p.m. Thursday in the garden at La Plata Youth Services, 2490 Main Ave.
The workshop, titled “Debunking Feminism and Sexuality,” will encourage people to discuss and “debunk” misconceptions of feminism, sexuality and objectification.
Speakers will discuss topics such as intersectionality, sexual education and grassroots activism, and the event will provide an opportunity to explore related ideas.
The event is free and open to all.
