On March 25, Jim Morehart, of Morehart Subaru and Subaru of America, awarded Community Connections an $11,000 donation.
2020 marks the seventh year Community Connections has received this support and is the only local not-for-profit organization to benefit from “Share the Love,” through a combination of Subaru of America, Morehart Murphy Subaru and, indirectly, customer donations. Of every Subaru the dealership sells, $250 is earmarked for the Share the Love fund.
The dealership and service center remain open and could use the community’s support in return. They have taken steps to maintain a healthy and sanitary workplace for staff and customers while still meeting customers’ needs. For more information, visit www.morehartmurphysubaru.com.
Community Connections has temporarily closed its administrative offices and group programs and is continuing to support the needs of children and adults with intellectual disabilities while maintaining the health and safety of clients, staff and communities. This funding will allow Community Connections to continue to ensure neighbors with intellectual and developmental disabilities remain safe and socially connected throughout the challenge of the coronavirus pandemic.
