Summit Church, formerly First United Methodist Church of Durango, 2917 Aspen Drive, offers a communitywide program with highly trained, caring volunteers to help people through life’s challenges, such as death of a loved one, divorce, serious illness, job loss, strained friendships and family turmoil.
Stephen ministers offer personal, confidential support and can direct people to other community resources, if needed. This service is completely free of charge. Church membership is not required.
Founded in 1975, Stephen Ministry is active in more than 13,000 congregations in more than 170 Christian denominations throughout America and 30 other countries.
