The League of Women Voters, the Access to Justice Committee and the Fort Lewis College Political Analysis Lab will hold a Community Empowerment Summit from 3:30 to 5 p.m. Wednesday in the Student Union Ballroom at FLC, 1000 Rim Drive.
This summit is meant to garner understanding and explore solutions around barriers to justice and governmental affairs for marginalized communities. During the summit, students of the FLC Political Analysis Lab will conduct research, surveying how the Access to Justice Committee and the League of Women Voters can better assist the communities constituents connect to or participate in the justice and political system.
Tables and booths will be set up groups to provide materials. Snacks, refreshments and prizes will be available.
