The Sunflower Troupe at the Sunflower Theatre is seeking submissions from playwrights for the inaugural “Sunflower Shorts: A 10-Minute Play Festival.” The submission deadline is Jan. 15.
To be eligible to enter the festival, authors and collaborators must be residents of Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico or Utah. All works must be original.
There are no theme limits, but musicals and children’s theater are ineligible. Works previously presented as a full production before a paying audience in any Four Corners venue are not eligible.
Eight plays will be chosen by a panel of judges by Feb. 15 for production in June. The festival winner will be announced on KSJD radio and social media.
There is no submission fee. Entries are limited to two plays per author.
