Some months ago, the “news” cycle included reports that the Koch Brothers would be trying to get their corporate (ethic-free) fingers into local politics across the country.
They have been doing exactly that, including right here in La Plata County, in order to limit and reduce regulations that protect our natural world (think clean air, water, forests, oceans, lands).
They want to make it easier to grab natural resources and leave a polluted world behind – for corporate profit, with no rules or repercussions. Americans for Prosperity is a Koch spin-off-remnant of the tea party, another corporate-funded (and tax-deducted) hoax to attempt to profit off of natural resources, with little to no regulation, under the guise of “freedom.”
While we are all “sheeple” to some extent and buy into the filtered and engineered mainstream media narrative, those who unknowingly act as Koch pawns, such as those gunning for Gwen Lachelt, are perhaps the most fooled of us all.
Gwen was elected on the promise that she would fight to protect our natural resources – with limits to the damage done to nature (and humans) by often immoral corporate robber-barons. She is doing exactly that, just what her constituency asked of her. Her opponents act and speak as if they hate clean air, clean water and unpoisoned lands and forests.
Please do not sign the petition to recall Gwen – she is an expert at helping protect our natural world!
