At long last, a voice for rural La Plata County citizens is on the horizon that will allow rural citizens to vote for county commissioners by district!
Senate Bill 221, which addresses this serious and long overdue inequity of equal voice per vote, is in its final journey toward passage into law (Herald, April 17). I strongly urge you to support this vital legislation for equal voice and vote by virtue of articles within this paper, and strongly resist the temptation and the urgings of others who are threatened by the rural community of sound logic and love of country.
