I am writing to show my support for Ben Lammons, who is a Democratic candidate for district attorney in the 6th Judicial District. I have worked with Ben for over eight years, and I have the utmost respect for how he conducts himself. He is a talented and experienced prosecutor who has handled over 7,500 cases over his 21-year career locally with the Southern Ute Indian Tribe and the 6th Judicial District Attorney’s Office.
Ben is well-respected among his peers and co-workers and is known as being fair and doing the right thing. He understands the difference between offenders who pose a serious threat to the community and offenders who are appropriate for diversion programs or probation. For example, as a prosecutor, Ben referred veterans, young people and those who struggle with mental-health issues to qualified treatment providers so these individuals have the opportunity to turn their lives around.
Ben Lammons consistently demonstrates a willingness to protect the community and convict truly dangerous criminals. He has a balanced and thoughtful approach to prosecution. This approach is what we deserve and need. Ben is truly the most experienced and most qualified candidate for this position.
