Surfing the Animas

Durango resident Paul Galido surfs the Animas River on Tuesday at the Whitewater Park in Durango. “It’s low. It’s barely rideable. You’ll have to excuse me for the poor tricks,” he said before hopping into the water. The river was flowing at 813 cubic feet per second.
